On Thursday December 10th 2020 at around 6:30pm Eastern Standard Time,
I was playing on the server as the CP class Judge Gabe and entered the PD lobby.
I saw there were two props blocking the way to the health station in PD; A shelf and a brown metal sheet prop and looked
around for keypads. I found no keypads and noted this in OOC chat, asking why there weren't any,
but I did not receive any response.
I have encountered prop block often on the server unfortunately, and so I placed couches to create
a way up and over the prop block until the player responsible or an admin could respond.
As I was doing this I saw an admin remove two of my couches so I immediately removed the rest, and I was then
brought to the sit room.
The admin named 'Walter The Assaulter' was the admin who entered PD, removed the props, and brought me to the sit room caged,
and once there he immediately told me I would be banned for prop block.
I explained to him what had happened, but he claimed I could have crouched and entered the props.
My Garry's mod crashed before I was able to continue explaining and when I re-launched and re-joined
I was banned for 2 days.

I recorded two clips of the incident.
The first shows me in the PD, after I had asked OOC why there weren't any keypads in PD.
You can see in the video there are no clear keypads anywhere.
The video also shows that the props belonged to the admin who banned me.
You can also see that the two props blocking PD was a shelf and a single brown metal sheet prop.
I did in fact try to crouch through everything in PD before the first clip, but because these were clearly single props and
none of them were faded, that could not be done.

I feel there was no need for the immediate harsh treatment, especially
when the admin involved is actually involved in the RP situation by being the player
who placed the props blocking PD and taking my sit and administering the punishment.
I want to be unbanned so I can play again, but the effort that went in to this appeal is mainly
to demonstrate how I felt I was treated unfairly by an admin on the server who is supposed to be
keeping the peace and keeping the server fun to play on first and foremost, rather than using that power
to act as judge, jury, and executioner on instances that they are directly involved in.

Hi there.

It's not our responsibility to teach you the basic controls of gmod. Crouching and jumping gets you through that, there were no keypads because there were no fading doors.

 

Crouch bases are allowed.
The mayor approved those props being in the PD.

You may not prop block because you do not understand how to crouch through a base. Please read the MOTD before you return.

You also kept saying there were no fading doors or keypads repeatedly even though I kept telling you there were none because you just crouch through it.

 

It's also interesting that most of the sit is missing from your videos, it was explained to you several times why what you did was not acceptable (prop blocking instead of calling a sit) but you insisted that you were in the right, so I took the appropriate action to rectify the issue according to our punishment guidelines.

 

Appeal denied, user failed to provide evidence that the ban was false (and provided video of most of what I saw).
