November 10th Changelog

 

I do have to cater to our German's, Bulgarian's and Mongolian people of the server so the changelog will be in these languages

November 12th Chagelog

 

  • Added global bans along with custom ban messages so everyone can check why everyone and everything was banned
  • Printer output lowered by 12%
  • BitMiner output lowered by 10%
  • Fixes on WaveData cache. So now sounds will play all the time instead of half the time
  • All Custom Class armor on spawn has been reduced from 100 -> 50. If you need more, go to the Gun Dealer and buy some
  • Added John Cena VIP job
  • Door Charge now correctly represents and acts like a door charge
  • Added Skateboards
  • Added some Header options on the site

  • Looking into FPS issues. I have something in mind to try but I will get to it mid-day probably
  • Also going to be looking for a replacement for the third person addon since that is the last big hook that causes around 5 - 10 FPS drops

November 14th Changelog

 

  • Added RT Cams
  • Removed the timer for the Mayor cooldown
  • Heavy optimization on the weather system
  • Optimized FAdmin scoreboard
  • Removed some useless usermessages being ran on certain weapons
  • Fixed an exploit
  • Fixed flying skateboards
  • Fixed duping hoverboards
  • Fixed it so that everyone is not downloading 300MB extra worth of stuff not used in the server

November 16th Changelog

 

  • Re-coded some sweps that use info_target entities for attacking which removes 400+ empty entities from the entity tables after a server up-time of around 6 hours
  • Removed all playermodel lua files
  • Removed some unused lua files
  • Removed Unstuck option from sitting which is labled as a super intensive function to call, I don't even know if it's called
  • Updated inventory system to not send some useless data to clients
  • Data file cleaning
  • Fixed Bianchi Color error
  • Fixed Buu's base attaching to a non-existing hand-bone
  • Removed a ton of texture files that were unused

I am looking to move Car Dealers since the 3D Car Dealer is a pretty heavy addon itself. But it would be difficult since I would have to refund everyone their money for cars then start fresh on that one

November 20th Changelog

 

  • Wrote a small rendering technique in for the printers since their textscreens were being rendered through the whole map
  • Did the same for the armory, textscreen clock on the bus and the banks
  • Fixed Ultra-Rail Gun lua error
  • Fixed Buu Muzzle error
  • Removed Stungun due to errors
  • Fixed Novus Menu usergroup error
  • Disabled all zombie pills due to Dlogs error
  • Fixed Anti-Propkill class error
  • Removed drugs for now, they cause FPS to drop insanely after initial use

November 22nd Changelog

 

I noticed that when playing on the server, the awesomium core will open a TON of processes in your game, taking up a ton of memory. Awesomium is gmods super optimized way of rendering HTML elements. So instead of adding onto a process it just creates a whole seprate one instead. To fix this, I need to see how I can remove some of these elements. Rejoining the game reset my actual # of processes so it may be the error we have been looking for.

 

  • Removed a help section calling OpenUrl on adv dupe
  • Removed 2 instances of OpenUrl on prometheus menu
  • Removed 8 instances of it on VCMod
  • Added a despawn timer for pizza

November 23rd Changelog

 

To help boost FPS even more, I have decided to remove pills and some other addons. While gmod is a single core game, its super hard to just add more stuff. I am a firm believer that FPS > content. No matter what is removed, people will always find a way to have fun while some content is removed. Its better to keep the main features of the server while removing broken and super heavy modules that keep the server from being relatively fluid.

 

As a Little Mac once said: "You don't have to be the server that has everything of everything"

 

  • Removed Pills

  • Removed over time effects on drugs

  • Removed modified damage system except headshot modifiers
  • More data cleanup, removing 6000+ unused inventory files + some other files addons don't use
