October 22nd Changelog

 

Some people had suggestions and they seemed like decent ideas, I am willing to try them out.

 

  • Prop limit for VIP's increased to 75
  • Fixed Wabbajack and added it to Gandalf
  • Fixed up donation system to be a little more user friendly
  • Fixed Heists board not being bound to the user who purchased it
  • Fixed all meth entities so all users can physgun their stuff
  • Added back News system + entity ownership of the TV
  • New job, Night Stalker
  • New job, Builder
  • Added Pizza to stalker class
  • Removed some more playermodels to test crashing issues
  • Custom Classes added to the "auto" donation system
  • Added swords to respected classes that lost them
  • Added health limit for Soul Swep
  • Added SmartSnap
  • Added some pills back

  • Fixed server exploit
  • Disabled custom classes on the auto donation system until an update to fix it is pushed
  • Fixed Wabbajack spawning NPC's with world props that don't despawn

October 27th Changelog

 

Some optimization for both the server and the client.

 

Before I list what I am doing, this is one of the reasons I HATE BUU'S BASE

One of the awesome timer's buu's base includes is sending 3 commands to the client every .1 seconds which in turn reruns this timer 101 times every second if there is a full server

 

  • Removed the stupid timer in buu' s base + several other functions
  • Replaced MOTD due an enforced tick the server HAS to send every second
  • Removed Gmod legs, too many think functions
  • Removed SmartSnap, also has a think function
  • Removed HitNumbers due to tick function
  • Removed several think and tick functions in addons that don't need it for the purpose we use it for

October 31st Changelog

 

Happy Halloween. Please do not eat slugs. They are people too.

 

Doing more optimization on things that can be changed or removed. Things are looking pretty nice! I did want to add some more VIP jobs but next on the list is fixing crashes because I hate them too, just as much as you guys.

 

  • Removed a think function on lightsabers. It is labeled as a workaround. I removed it and nothing changed. If something is broken, let me know.
  • Changed spawn safety addon. Reason being is that it runs a timer every second to check if you're in the actual zone itself I just removed the timer (has no effect other than not telling you if you're in the safezone or not)
  • Changed weather mod to Atmos
  • Added a media kit where you guys can watch youtube videos in your own home while making some sweet meth or what ever you do
  • Added a Mayor Election system
  • Increased time between shots for Wabbajack
  • Removed a move mod in the pillpack for TF2 since we don't have TF2 mounted
  • Removed a HUDPaint hook on pills. I don't even think this is used but it takes a bit of resources
  • Fixed 4 startup errors
  • Revamped Moderator Applications
  • Revamped rules for the Night Stalker / Stalker / Master Stalker

Also, the third person script can lower your FPS by 10 while you're using it. I have been looking for a replacement but unfortunately, I have found nothing yet. Another big resource eater is the cuffs but unfortunately, there is not a replacement for that and its too good to remove.

November 2nd Changelog

 

Some attempts in fixing hits.

 

  • Updated DarkRP
  • Removed some unused hit jobs to prevent some issues
  • Fixed a weapon blowing up doors and respawning them

November 6th Changelog

 

Oh man, do I have some nice changes server wise. This is by far the best iteration of cleaning up addon packs. For retro-spec our last whole addon pack we ran on was 1.04GB vs our new addon pack which is 604MB which is almost 500MB down. I got rid of 2000 files and it should be relatively much faster to join the server. Plus you no longer have to download other people's weapon textures. If you missed it, all custom weapon textures were removed. So if you own a weapon, go download it off the workshop. As much as I like helping and catering to people paying for weapons, I still think the majority of the player base likes it when they don't have to spend 4 -5 minutes loading into the server because they are downloading more and more weapons they will never be able to see. If some normal materials and texures are missing, let me know because they should on the server.

Onto the changes.

 

  • Removed 4 workshop addons
  • Removed weather timer thing (was not supposed to be there)
  • Removed NeedToChangeFrom for most jobs
  • Added a new job, Police K9
  • Added a new VIP job, Savior

I am debating some other things to add in but I would rather you guys vote on it than spend my resources on something you don't want too much. So go vote on the poll when you load in!

November 7th Changelog

 

Some more optimizations. As you get to know me, you will know I cannot stand playing games that run like shit so I will not have MY SERVER RUN LIKE SHIT. Forgive me if things seem out of place, since I only can test these modifications so much.

 

  • Removed Weather think timer, replaced with a 10 second timer with an increased day / night mul
  • Increased the delay between client updates for the weather
  • Updated Inventory System
  • All PD Jobs now spawn with 200 Armor to make them the most powerful force of the city
  • Increased ULib name check to 5 seconds instead of checking every second
  • Removed News Mod since TV rendering shit like that hits hard like slamming a snake on the concrete
  • Removed HUDPaint on Cuffs. SUGAR WHY, NOW I DON'T KNOW WAT I DO WIT CUFFz. HUDPaint is a huge FPS killer, don't ask me why I will leave it for now
  • Reverted Chatbox to default. "WHY SUGZZ I LUV THE CHATTT". Yes, unfortunately this has the same problem as atlas chat where it will lower your FPS by 40 - 100 when it fills up with shit. Sorry.

November 9th Changelog

 

Server crash today was because of a model, I recently added. I will remove it to confirm. We are also running into some kind of memory leak again. I have to fix that too. I spent an hour trying to find it but found nothing.

 

Edit: After looking at past changelogs, the only things I really added were: The Economy System, VCMod ELS, Pills, Taser, Heist System. Which I don't see how any of those would cause such a nasty leak. I can try removing stuff though.

 

  • Removed 1 tick function and 1 think function from the hackphone
  • Fixed Bianchi error
  • Fixed GetViewEntity error with simpleweather
  • Fixed Sanctum 2 error
  • Removed another think function from drugs

  • Got rid of Force Emitter sound and nerfed it by 20%
