If you see staff blatantly breaking the rules, please feel free to report them. They should be held to a higher standard. But with that being said, they are also given powers and responsibilities and it would be in your best interest not to argue with them. in terms of suggestions, if it is appropriate to the server i dont see how it will result in an argument. It will only devolve into an argument if thats the stance both sides take from the very beginning. As one cannot clap without both hands, arguments cannot exist unless both sides want to be combative.

Well regardless, going back to the main point of this post. If the people need it written out, it will be written out. Less confusion i guess. In terms of staffing. Def staff is not a group of all knowing people. Rp is always evolving. Staff is simply there to make sure roleplay, if people want to roleplay, that it happens and nobody is fucked with to the point where it isnt fun. We dont really interfere with rp unless somebody is upset. What we do is guide how the server and the general experience will grow. When new things are introduced, staff team is asked first sometimes. Or being staff allows for someone who is creative to have easier channels to share with the upper echelon. If you are very creative and have all these ideas, then share them in a more positive way. Arguing w staff on the server achieves nothing but bad rep. Keep in mind, we do ask players not to argue with staff but rather if there is disputes, go up the ladder if there is a higher rank there or do so on the forums. On the server, players are expected to listen to staff first unless what they are saying directly contradicts motd.

you are "starting their rp" before they even have a chance to settle in themselves. Imagine if a player loaded in, sees a fucking line up to leave spawn. They'd be like tf is going on, this is garbage. just because u arent having the best rp experience doesnt mean others arent. I myself still rp a plenty. Think about it this way. Spawn is where people load in. They pick their jobs, they gear up and they go into the city to START THEIR RP. What is the point of checking people who just loaded in like lol what? Are they gonna have a bounty from loading in? Or are u trying to fine custom classes for owning weapons lmao.

We have talked about partial solutions to different issues that were raised by sugar in the past, def keep suggesting good ideas. For those who know, you know i used to sell. I would say its overall not bad because it allows for those who do not have alot of time to grind to also enjoy the baller life. I think rule 12 should be applicable outside of the server and its official discord only if it concerns other people who are part of the community. This way it still protects if for example, i get a dm from someone calling me the N word. But who gives a flying fuck if someone who plays tits, calls another random person who we do not know or care about or even is related to tits the N word. It just means this person is racist, but as long as they do not display it here where we have control, then oh well. Obv this is dif if the person breaks a law. however, laws are not up to us to uphold but we will punish within our power. The main goal is to protect our own community to the best of our abilities, we arent here to decide how people should live their lives so i think we should only "control" what is ours to control.

Dan, this is a very interesting suggestion. All of your examples including racism and the use of slurs against sexual orientation fall under hate crime. I also do not appreciate seeing hate crime on our server but at the same time, the internet is a very weird place with no actual way to police it. I would like to see a complete ban on things like fa or other terms but if we follow through with this, where does it stop? or do we completely ban all terms that can be seen as verbal abuse under hate crimes. So any verbal/text based insults regarding ethinicity (racism), disability, language, nationality, physical appearance, religion, gender identity and sexual orientation would be banned? All in all, i think it is a good idea but it is not feasible. The internet and games like darkrp are a place for people to be unfiltered to a degree. not saying that racism is worse than hate of a sexual orientation. But i think racism is an easier standard and collectively agreeable sort of line to draw. It is definetely morally correct but realisitically impossible.

In addition to what zesty wrote, I want to point out that this is very similar to the logic behind warning someone before killing em. This is a courtesy that is used to dissuade any confusion during interaction. Tell first so that the other person knows, then move forward.
