  1. Anyone whose sunk enough hours in DarkRP knows the pain of getting slapped by some power tripping mod/staffer. Most understand that within the small group of people who are actually retarded dedicated enough to have their gameplay interrupted every 2 minutes to listen to someone whine about a supposed rule break exists a smaller subset of players who like to abuse that power. Any job where you get to police others is going to draw in people who seek power, and again these people are ruining their own experience by having it interrupted all the time. There is always high turn over, the decent mods always get burnt out after a few months and quit. Shitty staff are a fact of life. So by making warns accumulate and eventually result in a week ban, you're basically punishing players who have put a lot of time in to your server instead of the expected handful who repeatedly break rules. It wouldn't take much to teach staff to take the time to check a player's warns and bans to see if they deserve a longer one because of how many/often they get them, but nah, it's easier to let the report system addon do the work.
  2. Added my usual Jay-walking = arrest on sight law and got pulled to a sit. Mod told me to specify, if J-walking = illegal, I must write "you must use crosswalks" Told him the definition of Jay walking literally means not using a cross-walk "Jaywalking occurs when a pedestrian walks in or crosses a roadway that has traffic, other than at a suitable crossing point" Wikipedia definition, almost every single definition found on google is similar. "but you have to" Told him that isn't anywhere in the rules and it's just something some people do "There are rules that aren't written down" So how about some discussion on this one. 1. Is this Jaywalking thing an arbitrary rule and 2. Why are there magic rules that aren't important enough to get written down?
  3. I think the idea should be to limit the use of hitman as an RDM pass, so making it expensive and not really worth it would be the best solution. It isn't uncommon to come across someone with more darkrp cash than brains so wealthy players would still abuse it.
  4. happened to me last night and when I called a sit he said it was a raid and the mod agreed, sent me back. https://imgur.com/V7bADzJ You don't have to advert when you raid and I dont think there's a rule against raiding during revolts I've been told otherwise. That you can stick around until your raid is over The default/lowest is still $250, meaning I can still get my dumb discord friends to place consistent hits on an individual It always shows the person was fired in the chat box but rarely ever actually fires them Where is it located? I can't find this one, and it seems neither can most the mods
  5. Bounty hunter perk where I can literally walk in to a crowd, hold my mic button, see whose in it, pick a name, accept the bounty on them, then shoot them in their face. Hits cost basically nothing ($250 cash) and half of all CCs are hitmen so your friend could keep placing hits on someone you want to target Mayor is an RDM magnet and while I know staff is busy my killer rarely gets punished despite making me lose my job /pm system sucks, so if cops are abusing their role and I pm the mayor he probably wont notice it amongst the other bullshit being spammed in his chat box Demoting a CP through mayor's console rarely ever actually works Gun dealers who put their gun stores close to spawn tunnel and they can charge $500,000+ for any bullshit gun making it easy to mistakenly buy one, which I have. If I think of any more I'll add them but I want to hear things you've noticed about the server that suck edit: removed some of the ones I was in the wrong about. I think this will be a decent thread otherwise.
