For many situations relating to reports, appeals, or whatever else where evidence is required, staff may request exported logs from you. Logs allow the staff team to get a much deeper insight into situations relating to whatever it is that you’re making a post about. Without them, it can be difficult for us to thoroughly look into the events that led up to and occurred during whatever it is that you are making a post about.
I’ve noticed on rare occasions that some people may not know how to export their logs when they aren’t prompted to do so. Below, I’ve given a very generalized rundown on how to export your own logs when you need them but aren’t fully sure how to.
Export Process
In order to export logs while playing on the server, you can press Y to open the chat and type !slogs. This will open the logs and show everything that has happened since you’ve been online. You can then click the file icon to the right of the search bar to export these logs to your computer's files. It's very very important that you export logs prior to logging off if you feel it is necessary. Even if you log off for a second to reload or something, that will wipe all logs from your previous playtime.
Important Info
It is important that you export your logs as soon as possible after an incident occurs, especially if you believe they may be needed for a report or appeal. This helps ensure that the relevant events are included in the logs you provide. I'd also recommend keeping the exported logs in the slogs-saved-logs file until your report or appeal has been resolved, in case it is needed again. If the report/appeal/whatever you’ve created is in reference to something more specific then you can use the search bar to narrow down the logs and export specifically what it is that’s needed.
Finding your Exported Logs
The path to find the exported logs on your computer is as follows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data\slogs-saved-logs\
I’ve also linked some images below relating to the log exporting process.

When uploading these logs to a thread on the forums, it is always best to upload them as a spoiler so there isn’t a four-mile-long comment taking up the entire thread. To do that, click on the eye icon at the top of the text box. This will immediately open a Spoiler text box where you can paste the logs into.
I hope this can help anyone who isn’t aware of the process!
