Regarding the creation of a custom downtown map.

In the changelog, Sugar said that he's considering making a custom downtown map. I just have one thing to say: If you're going to decompile one of the rp_downtown maps and work off of that, don't please!

 

Why? Many iterations of the rp_downtown maps are just decompiles of each other, and they're never ideal for modification. Decompilations mimic the map, they aren't the original form. They sometimes cause geometry issues which can lead to a lower FPS than it already is. Decompiling is good as a learning tool, but not for creating an entire map off of.
