In the changelog, Sugar said that he's considering making a custom downtown map. I just have one thing to say: If you're going to decompile one of the rp_downtown maps and work off of that, don't please! Why? Many iterations of the rp_downtown maps are just decompiles of each other, and they're never ideal for modification. Decompilations mimic the map, they aren't the original form. They sometimes cause geometry issues which can lead to a lower FPS than it already is. Decompiling is good as a learning tool, but not for creating an entire map off of.

Obviously somewhere in the ~2000s, considering his initial choice.

I use a K70 RGB MX Browns and a Zowie FK2. Both very good, I love them. Though, I would recommend a keyboard with MX Blue switches.

What the fuck... Why in the fucking fuck would anyone with a brain buy a prebuilt computer? This PC is full of a bunch of useless shit thrown into a bundle so they can charge you a fuckton of money. THIS is a good PC to buy. 1000$ cheaper too. Still, I personally wouldn't buy it. Too expensive, I don't really need a 980 Ti. I'd probably just throw in an R9 390 and downgrade the case + CPU cooler and be done with it.

After a couple hours of trial and error (3 hours), I finally discovered a 100% recipe!

How can a prop spammer spawn THAT? I've never seen a prop like it! If anyone finds out how to mass spawn that, well, RIP server! It's the quality of a skybox prop (low res, not too geometrically complex) but very large... It's also the model that they use in one of the businesses, so it could have something to do with that, as he said.

Update: It's gotten way better since the last update. ~80 on join, ~50 after a couple of hours.

Can we get FA:S 2.0 & it's weapon packs? Not sure how taxing it would be on the server, but I think the current weapons are pretty annoying to use.

Nah. While weapons do take away initial FPS, it's not like that. The initial joining FPS is supposed to be the ballpark for all the time cases around town. The super main problem is the memory leak which we solved before. It was great when you used to join the server with 100 FPS and leave with 100 FPS. Edit: Just ran a server with all addons except for my "modifiedweps" pack which contains third person, sitting, all tools and some general weapons and it boosted my FPS by 20 - 30 Update: Ran some benchmarks with the modified weapons gone and this is what I got I will look into the 2 most probable causes for this and I will see what happens. I see. It seems that a lot of the addons people sell have seriously terrible methods to accomplish some of their tasks, such as trusting the client (a lot of the ATM scripts, for some stupid reason), and some of them can cause a lot of memory leaks. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't even a "heavy" soon causing the problem, but rather a poorly written small script. I've seen quite a few myself.

Mid-tier here. - i5 4670 @ 3.4 GHz base/3.8 turbo, Radeon HD 7870 2 GB (Mostly irrelevant, especially for the branch of the Source engine Garry's Mod uses), 16 GB RAM, Windows 10. - 70 fps on join, 30-40 fps after about ten minutes. - Probably the load of stupid crap and weapons people request for their custom class. Also poorly scripted add-ons (i.e.: every other fucking add-on)
