Why were you banned or warned?

Some context-

Me an Allby were bantering as he was mayor and we were both playfully talking shit.
We BOTH make a joke about how he has "CP" allowed in the PD as a rule as mayor.
I call the MAYOR a pedo in character, and I get banned for player toxicity. this was not something allby reported it was purely the staff who thought this was "too far."
I completely understand if allby reported me or told me he didn't like that but we were both fucking around with each other. The staff says its against TOS which I just looked in the TOS and nothing says you can't say the word pedo the closest thing is this:

" We have a zero tolerance policy for grooming or predatory behavior. Content that depicts or disseminates child abuse, child nudity, or sexual exploitation of children in digital or real world format is prohibited."

I was not grooming or partaking in any predatory behavior or depicting anything child related.

I was also not doing ANYTHING that would normalize the discussion of child exploitation. Garry's Mod has a long history (and I still see servers today) of PedoBear RP and Pedobear Hide N Seek.
I don't believe this is something against GMOD TOS to in character call someone a pedo. I would've stopped and even told the staff that I won't say it anymore if that's what he wishes... he said it doesn't matter its an auto 2 week ban due to TOS. If I am wrong please point me to the rule I broke in TOS as this was also not harassment but playful banter between two people.

So not only did you claim the mayor is a pedo, you also made a hence to cp. CP in his law means Civil Protection.

Right while this is in the TOS, this doesn't encapsulate the reason why I got banned. You're the one with all due respect not reading it correctly. This rule applies to message that are about "potentially exploitative content." calling someone in character a pedo is NOT potentially exploitative content.

I would also like to add if I am getting banned for asking the Mayor what CP means. Then please paste albys chat logs where he says it means "Child something." Which is a way more direct innuendo than anything that I said.

You should know better than to take matters into your own hands when you can easily call a staff member and they will handle it accordingly.
it common knowledge these days to not accuse people and make derogatory statements

 i understand that some people don't know "CP" means civil protection but cmon man have some sense there

I would be okay with dropping this ban down to 1 week if you educate yourself on our rules and stipulations with player toxicity.

I'm going to remain neutral until more of our team replies to this with their thoughts

no sense in arguing my side anymore. I would appreciate it reduced to 1 week.

2w is absolutely within the guidelines for a 1st strike Pedo accusation. You should have read the rules your first time logging on. While we realize most people don’t read through every rule on their first connection to the server, it should be common sense to not hurl pedo accusations at people like that.

 

For reference. You get 3 strikes for pedo accusations. First one is 2w, if you do it again it’ll be 1 month with no chance at appeal & if you do it again you will be permanently banned.
