Because the rdm and nitrp charges are not true, and a fail base ban on first violation of fail base is extreme.

I had a "public" base, Free Town, an autonomous zone in town for folks to fuck around which was recognized by the mayor who had a law on the books that "pd are not allowed in free town" . A cop came in and started harrassing several people, he was shot, and i get a sit for the rdm. When i get there, the trial mod refused to give me the option to take down warning signs and gave me a ban for just running the place calling it a "fail base". He just kept repeating "tell it to the ban screen buddy". Im just tryna run a pub base for folks to build in, running free town brings new folks over to that part of town and keeps it alive

So, I'm gonna give a very rough rundown of what happened upon me joining the server.

 

I get on, first thing I see is people talking about a recently banned player[Prydwen] and them confused why a guy building a public base got banned for NITRP. I was obviously a bit confused, and asked a few questions about the situation and got some PMs on Discord explaining what happened.

I'll be posting these images here for clarity sake.

As I was getting these messages I also saw a message in chat regarding the mayor removing a law stating that Free Town was off limits to PD. This is of course a fail law on the part of the mayor, but I feel it's important to the nature of this case.

One thing of note is that the law was only removed after Prydwen had been banned, so for the time, Prydwen and his group were under the idea that police could not go into Free Town. It's also worth noting that the officer made the choice to harass players inside of Free Town despite the mayor(against the rules mind you) making a law saying police cannot goto Free Town. This leads me to believe the circumstances going on in this ban were a bit off. I don't know of the situation in full, and wish to see the other parties give their impression, but I'm concerned about why this was handled as a ban instead of say a verbal or warn.

I spoke to the person banned and explained the rules and I've spoken to the Banning staff and they are fine with reducing this to a warn for RDM.

 

So with all this being settled I will be accepting this.
