Banned for a Week for accidentally killing a mod

Why were you banned or warned?

I had a 2 KOS signs on my building, I killed a swat member and then I killed a mod (Joey Skylynx STEAM_0:1:11061926) that was inside my base,
I didn't know it was a mod, I killed him because I had the KOS sign, and I instantly got banned for a week without even being able to talk to the mod.
I apologize if I broke rules but I thought I had the KOS sign up on my property, thanks:)

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

I dont think it was a good enough reason to be banned for 7 days
Im VIP, I spend lots of time on the server and enjoy playing on it
INcorrect ban time, and a simple misunderstanding, I did not get a chance to even talk to the mod, he just banned me:(

First off, KOS signs are not allowed on the server.

Quote

"Do not add ‘KoS’ signs to your base. Use ‘no loitering’ signs instead. You must give the trespasser a minimum of 5 seconds to leave before killing them. "

This is under Basing > Base Building Rules > Line 6.

 

As for the statement that you were inside of a base while doing this... Nah. The "Base" you are referencing was the two floor w/ roof access next to PD, you went in there one or twice to reload and look around, but even before that you were actively going around and killing players on the streets, notably a player who had just left spawn and was walking around near fountain. Also the story of, "I put up a KOS sign" doesn't really track when your only text screens were the following:
