I was playing on the server when a hitman attempted to kill me based on a hit, I turned around and shot him. When he came back, he immediately RDM'd me, and as a result I came back and shot him. I accept that this was justification for a warn, however what happened next was frankly ridiculous. The player reported me, and the tmod KKStoner took the sit. The sit lasted for about 20 seconds, with me admitting that I did that one RDM, but KKStoner looked at logs and started quizzing me about other kills I had done, as if I was supposed to justify every kill I had done on the server. I had recently done a raid as a different job so I did have a few recent kills but if they were RDMs then those players would've made the reports themselves. As I was trying to explain what happened with those kills unrelated to the sit, I was RDM'd by the player who reported me in FRONT of KKStoner. Instead of taking action against the RDM during a sit, KKStoner decided to just straight up ban me before I could even say my side of the story. I was given no chance to explain my side of the story, and instead banned based on having other kills in the logs rather than KKStoner worrying about the sit in front of him. Frankly I don't believe KKStoner took action befitting of a mod, as I wasn't even granted a chance to defend myself after being RDM'd in a sit. I should be unbanned as the appropriate punishment for my actions was a warn for 1 RDM. Instead, the trial mod KKStoner decided to ban me before I could make a defence, after I got RDM'd in his sit. I'm gonna take a guess and assume the guy who RDM'd me wasn't even given a warn for RDM in sit. Who warned/banned you? Community Removal Posted July 18, 2024 Share Posted July 18, 2024 (edited) You got a sit called on you for 1 RDM+NLR and i look at !slogs to see death logs and i see you had killed several people in a very short span, you decided to not explain those. I did give the player that RDMed you in the sit a verbal warning for rdming during a sit This is what i looked at when i opened in slogs I did say 15 because i did not sit and count every individual kill of yours but you still did kill 10 people in a span of roughly 9 minutes, You were very rude in the sit and you didnt claim that you were on grounds for any punishment if i am remembering correctly. If you do have a reasonable explanation for this kills you are welcome to explain them because we were in that sit for a whole minute at that point where all you were doing was basically insulting the guy who reported you (although he was doing it back) I did not completely "forget" about the sit in front of me, i asked you why you killed the guy and you basically ignored me to keep blabbering back and forth. The clip you sent left out the half of the sit of me actually asking you why you killed the guy in the first place (Which you didnt explain) Itll be -1 until an explanation is given for your bundle of kills. For future reference if you want to appeal because you werent given a chance, make sure to include the part where you are given a chance to explain! As I said in the appeal, if those kills were RDMs then the players who were killed would've called a sit. The fact is the only person claiming to have been RDM'd was the person in the sit, meaning Mass RDM is a grossly inaccurate term. My clip only saves a minute so that's the best I can do, but yes I was rude to the other guy because he was blatantly trolling, as seen by his RDM in the sit. At the end of the day, you asked about the other kills and I was killed in your sit literally 10 seconds later - how can I explain every kill I've done in 10 seconds? What you should've done was brought be back to the sit so that we could continue our conversation but you acted rashly and banned me immediately. Edit in response to your edit - I literally admitted that I did RDM him, I was happy to be warned, but a ban for Mass RDM was unbelievable, and an incorrect assessment of the situation. One "whole minute" isn't enough time to evaluate whether every kill I've done was RDM, you just saw kills and went for the ban hammer. Its fair that i didnt give you time to explain the 10 kills, but you have to look from my point of view of me sitting there for a whole minute waiting and listening to just insults being thrown back and forth for an explanation for you to explain the RDM+NLR you got reported for in the first place to see that you have been killing others too, Not everyone reports people massrdming, some people just dont care. That doesnt mean staff will punish you for the singular rdm you were reported for. I think other staff will agree if they arent getting an explanation/getting ignored they are going to go off what they see in their logs and in my case you killed 10 people in a relatively short time which is viewed as MRDM.
