Gang Update: Notable Changes

Along with the new style, the way you perform certain actions has changed.

 

The gang creator NPC has been removed. To create a gang, open the F4 menu and click the Gang tab. If you are not a member of a gang or do not have the funds to create one, you will have the option to request an invite from an existing gang if the owner is online and the gang is not full. Gang owners can accept or decline these requests.

 

Gang quests were added which allow members to progress together and unlock gang points. Gang points = progress towards the new gang leaderboards. Quests refresh daily and each member can contribute and claim a reward once a quest is completed. Gang quests will scale in difficulty depending on how many members are in your gang. For example, if you have 2 players in your gang, the quest requirement will be doubled. If you have more than 6 player in your gang, you will be given more difficult 'medium' quests each day. Gangs with more than 16 players will be given "hard" quests.

 

Gang leaderboards reset every 7 days. The top three gangs each week will be rewarded with a bonus reward which can be claimed by the owner and deposited into the gang bank.

 

Each gang will be given 5 bank slots by default. Gang members may deposit items into the bank but only the owner may withdraw items.

 

Gang owners can unlock additional player slots, talent points, and bank slots for their gang via the dashboard.

 

Development notes: There will be issues with a massive change like this. We're primarily looking for lua errors in console, actions failing (ex: you click a button and it doesn't do anything), and anything that does not function as expected.
