  1. Just had a 500 second long circle jerk of 20 revolters trying to kill the mayor who was jetpacking in circles around the island. Impossible to land a single shot on him. Defeats the entire purpose of a revolt if it's impossible to shoot the mayor. Vehicles as well, the hitbox is practically non-existent when you're in a vehicle. Even if you land a shot, it does 2 damage at best. Grapple gun as well.

    C4

This is a mechanic that’s part of the Source engine and I don’t believe there is anything that can really be done about it from a server’s perspective. Plus, I wouldn’t say it’s unfair to be honest with you, it gives some chance at getting through some of those cancerous crouch bases that give you zero chance of survival if you attempt to crawl through. Not enough people use C4 in their raids to justify doing anything about it.
  3. I’m all for making it so that the mayor has to allow it with a law, but banning a harmless activity is pretty pointless. I really don’t get why people get so triggered over this - once you’re arrested, you lose all your weapons anyways. Sometimes, playing cop gets a little dry, so what’s wrong with letting them have a change of scenery and let them go kill prisoners? Again, you literally lose nothing. If you really get that pissed off about it, there are plenty of countermeasures. You can choose to not respawn, and literally any time you do /demote for “killing prisoners” or “police brutality,” everyone on the server votes yes and the cop is demoted in seconds. And as Booper said, this server is anything but a realistic roleplay scenario. In what part of the world do you have teletubbies running around shooting people, magic swords that let you fly, sharks biting people inches away from the shore line, etc. Just because it’s not realistic doesn’t mean it’s not roleplay - it’s a video game, not a life simulator.
  4. Lockdowns are a key component of DarkRP that are never executed properly. The idea of banning "AOS during lockdown" is stupid as this is literally the basis of having lockdowns in the first place. In classic DarkRP, by default, lockdowns are AOS after police give a grace period for people to get into their homes. That said, endless lockdowns are pointless. There should always be a legitimate RP reason for a lockdown (and not some bullshit like "a threat to the mayor's life") and should end by default after 10 minutes. If the CPs cannot quell the reason for a lockdown after 10 minutes, that's on them. Why? Because we shouldn't be ruining the experience of ~80 other players because 10 cops can't do their jobs correctly. Sitting around inside waiting for a lockdown to end is stupid and pointless if there's no reason for the lockdown in the first place. Also, what do you do if your home is across the map but you just got released from jail? Either you camp in spawn or fight off dozens of trigger-happy cops on the way to your home. If the cops can't fix the problem after 10 minutes, that's their problem, not the majority of the server. Also, remember that unfun almost never works. I think part of this is because the box is so small that many newer players don't even see it pop up, then factor in that a good majority of people don't even know how to switch to cursor mode - you only get an average of 8-12 yes votes. That's a problem for its own thread, though. Revolting has a cooldown, and what do you do when some genius starts a revolt as a citizen with no weapons, runs right into the PD screaming "ONE OF US! ONE OF US!" and dies instantly? You can't unfun - because people like that don't even know how to vote yes, and you can't revolt again for another 10 minutes. Endless lockdowns were fun at some point, because it started an RDM fest between raiders and CPs, and who doesn't love a little RDM fest once in a while? It comes down to an old saying - "give people an inch, they'll take a mile," and as a result, every single consecutive mayor will start a lockdown for no apparent reason because they think it's funny, and leave it running until they either die, change jobs, or leave. It was, and it still can be, but not when it's the only thing happening 24/7. In short, 10 minute max length with a 20 minute cooldown.
  5. Clicking the “no” button actually does nothing to impact the vote. It’s just as useless as an X button to close the window. The server predetermines the number of people who need to say yes to unfun the mayor based on how many people are online. If, for example, 28 votes are needed, then 72/100 people could vote no, so long as 28/100 vote yes then the mayor will be removed. It’s not a 50/50 thing where the majority by one vote wins.
  6. Even if you’re not colorblind, in the wrong lighting you can easily confuse red and orange, I know I have a few times. +1
  7. Bug Description: Some players will be teleported slightly outside the jail cells upon being arrested. Some will spawn in the bars leaving them stuck. How to reproduce: Go on a Mass RDA spree. See where half of the prisoners end up. Priority: Medium
  8. Probably because I purchased another one shortly after I made this post. Won’t be playing Mr Bones until it’s fixed lol.
  9. Not sure what happened. Lost my MAGA hat today which cost me 300 SUGA. Heard from someone that switching to Mr. Bones does it and today was the only day I played Mr. Bones, so I'm guessing that's what caused it. Don't really care about the money, but please fix this bug.
  10. Obviously it's not a problem when you have one hacker, but just now there were 4 hackers basing together and constantly rigging the elections. The server was without a mayor for a good 3-4 hours today as every single time the mayor was elected, he was instantly demoted because 1 of the 4 hackers rigged it. Add a 10-20 minute cooldown.
  11. I've found it really easy to not realize that the mayor has died as a CP and go on continuing to arrest people for laws that no longer exist. If you're in the middle of something crazy, you might miss the notification and not realize. You know that message that pops up when you're being hunted by a bounty hunter? Using that same alert for when the mayor has died/resigned would completely eliminate this problem.
  12. Thank you all for being quick and helpful in my unjust ban, as well as taking action against the person who lied to get me banned. The entire ordeal took less than a couple hours. It's just another reason why I've always chosen to play on this server over the many others out there over the years, you guys are quick, helpful, and respectful. -dangernuudel <3
