This player sat in ooc spamming me and another player with irl threats, rape threats, slurs [loopholing], and general harassment for over 2 hours. The staff in question Gumbowl allowed him to keep this up for over 2 hours without any action at all i even attempted to votemute him after he used slurs and this mod decided to stop the vote not once but twice and then proceeded to argue with me in ooc that he does not need to enforce TOS while insulting me and acting arrogant saying things like "thank you for teaching me how to staff catto :)". This user was also arguing that he doesn't have to enforce TOS at all and its up to staff discretion. I didn't call a sit at the time because the only staff online was refusing to enforce TOS so i figured he would naturally be bias towards me since he already deemed that due to his own discretion he sees no reason to punish any rule break at all. during this kiezuhcx thankfully got on and gigamuted the harasser twice but still no action beyond a 15 min gigamute was taken and shortly after kiezuh logged off. All I saw was the 2 players dropping a single F slur and no one else being bothered by it besides you, Sweeet, and Skadop, and that's what you all were calling me a bad staff for. To reiterate, Rkelly went to far and had I seen a note or how he was speaking before, for what you say was hours, then the outcome would have been different. I don't tolerate anyone abusing players for any reason, but what is essentially locker room talk doesn't register as prolifically abusive to me. It would have been better to take him to a sit and tell him to relax rather than let it go on until someone makes a report. While this was going on there was sexual insults being thrown at other users and the user taunting them that nobody cares to handle it. Yes someone could have easily made one.. but all in all we don't need this type of banter going on in the server. When it comes to slurs and harassment in OOC it has to be handled. Rkelly is very clearly making IRL threats and saying/loopholing slurs several time throughout these logs I don't think i have to say much on that. Going far enough to PM catto his location and saying several times that he would "hold you down" and "drop location" while also making several grotesque sexual comments. I think it clearly shows a need for punishment. The fact this went on for SO long without anything beyond a 15 min mute is honestly disgusting. These logs show a pretty clear disregard for TOS from Gumbowl using other games non enforcement of TOS as a reason not do it himself. On one hand, IRL threats in 0 scenarios are okay like there's 0 way around that. Slurs in OOC, also, not allowed in any circumstances. You were right in the sense of staff can handle those sits without a ticket needing made, but that ends up relying on the active staff member reading chats at that time, which in devils advocate, gumbowl hadn't been typing until after the first slur drop which i also quoted. Now, I'm only a mod so I can't really speak for Gumbowl, but there is 0 reason this should've gone on for as long as it did. Egregious PTOX, continuous IRL threats, to the point where the harasser genuinely starts to drop his personal location is just outlandish. TOS isn't Titsrp rules, they are facepunch rules. Just because another server doesn't uphold those requirements doesn't mean we don't. I'm disappointed over this whole scenario. RKelly needs some form of punishment out of this.... At bare minimum please look through the logs around PTOX offence to see if anything else was said because one look at the logs of what RKelly was saying should have been enough to show that it was consistent harassment and IRL threats at this point in the messages.
