The server announced that it was going to restart in 10 min. And the entire lobby collectively began to engage in anarchy. Everyone was participating in it including the police. After I kept getting shot from every angle leaving spawn I just accepted it and joined the rest of the server in the chaos. Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I was under the impression that everyone was ok with the anarchy. Logan who is a trial mod was also participating if I remember correctly. I only engaged in the MRDM because I thought its what everyone wanted to do while we all waited the 10 min for server to restart. I understand rdm is wrong in any normal situations but I thought the server was having a mini anarchy party before server restart. Before this all happened my friends and I were in the process of building our base. I never had any initial desire to have anarchy, I only joined what I thought was the collective's wishes. I did not intend to offend anyone or ruin their rp experience. A lot of other players who participated were also banned, only until after we were banned was it announced that only gang members were allowed to participate in the violence. I do not think any of us were having a bad time and were just enjoying the time before server restart. I feel this is a simple misunderstanding, and was shocked when my 30 second sit-down with TacoCat (mod who banned me) resulted in a 7 day ban. I would like for another moderator and/or admin to review my ban please. Who warned/banned you? Henchy Posted February 22, 2025 Share Posted February 22, 2025 Even if other people are rule-breaking you shouldn't follow in their footsteps because it can lead to things like this happening, I've had countless sits where people who MRDM or just RDM in general say "oh everyone else is doing it so I thought it was fine". Typically this comes from new players and I can see that you are new. if you want to RDM people just RDM your friends as they probably won't report you. But this wasn't a handful of people, with 35+ people including staff shooting randomly out of spawn with less than 10 min before server wipe, I saw it as an organic wipe "event". Effectively anyone who wasn't afk was shooting in any direction the second you left spawn. It was impossible to leave or do anything. At that moment I thought I would either just afk until the wipe or participate with the rest of the server. I genuinely thought everyone was just killing time for the server reset. I wasn't even under the impression that others were breaking rules by enacting chaos at the end of wipe. I simply thought everyone stops caring when there's only 10 min left before the server resets and wipes props. Seeing staff participate only reinforced this thought. HolyTacoCat64 Posted February 24, 2025 Share Posted February 24, 2025 Hey Phil, I do understand that you believed it was a wipe "event", however it was a lot of Crips/Bloods that were rping and killing each other. I know that this can be confusing for players since they can KOS each other and it was happening right outside spawn. As a result, I am fine with reducing your ban to 3 days.
