Why were you banned?: I was banned for not punishing a user on the server/showing favoritism

Why should you be unbanned?: I feel that it was fucked up to ban me for something like that. I fucking love this server, and would throw all my money away to it if I had any atm. I have no reason to betray the server, and would never do it even if I had to. This is my first offense as a staff member, and I feel as though I recieved a punishment that staff normally receive when they ban the whole server. A simple, "Do it again and you are gone" would have worked. I see Jpgunner77 has noticed my absence last night, as well. You have to believe me Sugar, I would never do anything like this again. I just can't believe I received a punishment like that. I love your server man.

We discussed it for awhile, I explained to him the ban is permanent but in reality it's until a Super/Head Admin handles it.

Only other comment is that while in the sit he stated that he knew his friend was doing wrong, he even asked his friend to not do it.

YET after that, his friend continued and ignored Tod, instead of Tod doing his job he let the guy play.

In the end he knew his friend was breaking rules for a fact and chose to not ban his friend that was using an alternative account after he was permanently banned for having hacks.

I'm pretty sure Tod was a pretty good mod too. I understand where he is coming from though, he was just trying to defend his friend. I mean who wouldn't. Those two probably had a blast playing with each other on the server. I wouldn't play on a server if my friend got banned from it.

 

I personally don't care w/e he tried to do but since he just got his second VAC ban 4 days ago it shows his "mods" weren't just mods lmao. Either way, I also can't be the guy anymore to say "omggggg u got banned, nooo way, let me unban you! This was obviously just a fluke!". He attempted to cheat and he got punished for it.

 

I think I will keep the punishment. If people really want him back let me know and I will probably ask him to write me a 500 word essay on why cheating is bad for my own amusement

 

At first, I assumed your friend was legit using HUD or physgun modifications since thats kinda popular and it does require that convar to be turned on.

 

You were banned by Ghostly because you didn't ban your friend or at least let your friend know that alting is something you shouldn't do. Except, like I said, I know where you're coming from. Why would you ban your friend when..hes your friend. I can relate in a few ways. My friends and I were always banned off rust server for "aimbotting" when we don't hack. This would just make us leave and join a new server because we couldn't play together.

 

This time it's different though. While your friend may of not had the intention to use cheats on this server specifically, he did intend to use them on other servers for some ungodly reason.

 

You can and will be unbanned but your friend may have some writing to do. I do believe you guys are good people, I really really do. But I really can't be giving every single person a break when they mess up, even if it wasn't intentional. Ghostly banning you was just so you can't unban your friend or something along those lines. He did contact me right after about the issue.

 

Issues like this take a while because I am not available from Sunday - Wednesday so sorry for the delay and I hope you understand.

 

Edit: I usually don't have an issue with anything. I can care less what you do as long as you're not bothering and hurting other people. I do have to take some kind of action when other people are upset about a valid reason though. So don't think I am just trying to boast my boat about the essay. Although this would make it the 3rd essay I recieved and I am just trying to make you guys better writers for when you become editors for the New York Times

I did tell him that alting was not good. He just ignored me and kept cooking his meth lol. You can do whatever you want to him, man, he got himself into that shit. Before I was banned, Ghostly told me that he would be banning me because I didn't punish him. I really just think that a threat to demote or ban me would be enough.. sometimes it takes just 1 think to scare the shit out of someone, and because I love this server so much, I actually got really fucking pale. I swear on my fucking life man, it won't happen again. I will ban whoever deserves it, whenever.

It's alight, don't take this whole issue to heart. Shit happens and believe me when I say, I know where you're coming from. Even though your friend was silly enough to install cheats and then forget to turn them off, he clearly did not mean any harm and you just wanted to play with him.

 

Tell him to write me a 500 word essay on why cheating is bad and then to post it to the forums and he can be unbanned.
