  1. Alternatively they could just buff shotguns to a more useful state. Double pump was kinda dumb tbh.
  2. I think you're in the right here. The rules are pretty cut and dry on having a clear path, and if there indeed was a clear path unblocked by invisible props, you should be clear.
  3. oright i forgot that was a thing +1
  4. so long as there aren't any areas of pd that are completely blocked off, and there's still an entrance that can still allow raider with a lockpick and keypad cracker to access the entirety of it (should they go unopposed) i don't see why it shouldn't be allowed of course a ruling like that could lead to some silly nonsense, like blocking off the front and side doors and declaring the sewer vent entrance to be the one true entrance
  5. damn son get some rest
  6. probs because it's not permanent and there's a cost associated with doing it
  7. Listed recoil rates are also wildly inaccurate with zero internal consistency, while we're at it.
  8. Goon chunks are a crafting component for "goon meat", an unlockable recipe that levels up goons to increase the rewards for when you kill them. Type !level in-game to see how close you are to unlocking the recipe, I think it's at lv 31 or somesuch. Food Shipments are used by the Restaurant Owner job. As a Restaurant Owner, you can spawn a stove from the F4 menu, and drop food shipments into it. They convert into ingredients you use for various recipes with different effects.
  9. Absolutely-- and lemme just clear the air, I'm not at all miffed with any of the staff members involved, you folks were just doing your staff thing and that's great. HOWEVER I'm struggling to understand the "why" of this bit right here in general, not specific to you and our case, but in general. Especially when something urgent that involved the whole reason I logged in that night was going down. 'Cause ngl, I'm going to have a really hard time bringing myself to bother @reporting rulebreakers anymore if it means potentially giving my base away to any vulture that pays attention to who gets TP'd away for a sit in chat.
  10. A bit off point, but on the rare occasion I decide to shack up and base I tend to go semi-afk while getting RL shit done. I only had a scant few free hours between work shifts, and figured I'd just turn in before logging off to go to bed. My base builds are pretty secure, and I'm pretty on the ball when it comes to active defense-- bonus nachos, this place had two well-defended entrances, so I could just pack up and run away if I started getting worried about a raider succeeding. I figured the only way I'd lose the meth I'd accumulated over this period would be due to either a sudden power outage or if I called a sit only to get needlessly stranded in sitland while another moderator test raided my base in my absence all coming to an end with me getting returned, powerless, into the middle of a prop right in front of the test-raiding moderator. At the time, I thought either scenario had pretty close to a 0% chance of going down but boy did I learn my lesson. Back on topic, this has less to do with what was lost and more to do with preventing situations like this from happening in the future.
  11. Can we have a talk about holding people in sits until a conclusion is reached? I just lost several hours worth of meth farming and my best legendary jugg minigun due to not being allowed to leave an NLR sit that didn't even require further input from me, as there was already an admission of breaking NLR from the offending party. A test raid was started by another staffer while I was trapped in flatgrass after a sit was called for suspected head-glitching (determined to not be the case, I believe) by the partner of the guy that broke NLR. I got to hang back and watch the raid through my camera for several minutes, being told "nah cant do that" when I asked if I could be returned to defend my stuff. I asked in OOC if they could chill until my sit was finished, but it went unnoticed. By the time my sit was concluded, my base was broken into and I was returned stuck into a prop, where I was immediately killed and a shitload of investment was lost without reason and through no fault of my own. I don't think it was any one person's fault, but fuckery like this, losing an entire session's worth of work and then some through administrative process alone with no real compensation possible is really not a good look, and I'd like to start a dialogue on the practice of holding people that report rule-breakers hostage.
  12. I proposed a similar idea in a different thread about this, but many people shot it down because it would necessitate giving everyone currently with a bludgeon CC a whole free CC with which to split their current kidnapping/raiding capabilities. Also it doesn't really solve the issue of there being a large and unmitigated number of kidnappers on at any given time. At that point it would just be a matter of briefly changing classes if you want to throw a hapless noob into the sewer or invent a reason to RDM someone with no consequence.
  13. you spent an awful lot of time basically saying "don't steal my hard-earned cash" when in reality it was just suga for someone not getting something confused and im fully aware of how it works, but as i mentioned earlier, when it comes to actual RL purchases that could potentially be looking at a refund-- it's not up to you and me to discuss 'cause neither of us have our hands in the financials. That's a discussion to be had with someone who's hands are in the financials, should this idea even get to that point. Which it probably won't anyway.
  14. i wouldn't sweat it a bit if they refunded the suga bb so long as everyone gets back whatever suga they spent on it, i have a really hard time believing that the server would get a reputation for stealing people's money-- especially if it followed players pushing for a change. to me that says they care more about the player experience than trying to maintain some sort of balance in an economy that can't be balanced in the first place. but yeh, like... you bought suga, not a bludgeon stop conflating the two
  15. oh well damn, if that's the case, as far as the donation shop is concerned, you spent money on suga, not a bludgeon here this whole time i thought we were talking about real-world cash refund suga bing bang boom, no real theft involved-- nobody cries foul this hard when a CC weapon or model they spent suga on gets altered or removed also, I'm not gonna argue with your emotions or personal attacks on this, bludgeons on CCs appears to be seen as an issue by a not-insignificant portion of the playerbase here on the forums alone and i don't think any amount of stomping and proclaiming "git gud" is gonna stop new players leaving over it or threads about it coming up every month or two
  16. Again, potentially a moot point entirely since the cash shop's ToS states that refunds are not offered in the first place.
  17. This argument gets downplayed is largely because the only the people that handle the server's money have a stake in it, and counters to said argument can only really be made after a lot of questions about how donations are managed are answered. Honestly, it's way over most regular player's heads. tbh i don't think a lot of people even know where to begin on that one-- as it should largely be up to the money handlers to figure out potential refunds if a cash-making donation dealio they came up with proves to later be problematic with a sizable chunk of the playerbase in the first place. It might even be a moot point entirely, since the cash shop ToS states: so idk, in that light maybe it's not so valid an argument.
  18. these discussions typically get up to around five pages or so before before petering out and no changes get made
  19. kidnapping is an incredibly unfun mechanic that probably wouldn't be so bad if CC's weren't allowed to kidnap but that's not gonna happen because people have dropped money into it already it's become little more than a minge tool and a method of sparking free and legal RDM at this point lower the timer for kidnapped persons to suicide and get back into playing on the server-- the whole reason they're here to begin with. bring the kidnapping ransom in line with other player-set methods of forcibly taking money (mugging/fines/etc) take take bludgeons off of CCs and disallow them from kidnapping-- let stock kidnapping jobs have their usefulness and identity, much for the same reasons we don't let CCs get necromancer staff or grim reaper scythe. not gonna happen because for whatever reason people are worried about screwing up an already infinitely-inflating joke of an economy or RL cash refunds but w/e figure out a consequence or risk for kidnappers. right now if a kidnapper gets killed, it's whatever, just respawn and try to kidnap someone else. kidnapping base raided? doesn't matter, throw down the dupe again. there is absolutely zero risk of a kidnapper losing anything-- and that is a bit inconsistent with other criminal methods of making money in a base.
  20. Same. One one hand I've had staff give a verbal warning for building around portal. On the other I've had staff tell me that a box even tighter than the one I'd built around the portal was fine.
  21. Figured there was more context to it-- thanks for the clarification.
  22. You may not remove a Dupe to bring Entities inside of your base, then replace your Dupe. This is declared FailRP. How hard and fast are we on reporting and enforcing this rule? 'Cause I've noticed an alarming number of high-profile players (staff included) either unaware of it or willfully trampling all over it and I kinda don't wanna be that guy that starts slapping down a load of recordings and reports out of nowhere over something that at first blush seems a bit innocuous.
