Agreed, one popularly used spot is near the vehicle scrapper, but I would rather build on the street (because my shop is relatively small) than block the entrance to the sewers. Yeah I think it should be up to admin discretion if the shop on the street is litter, or if its actually being used. And I agree, the shops should not be annoying and the used materials should fit in with the background easily. For example, brick or metal textures. Also its important to note, that competing servers such as Superior Servers already allow these bases, I think the rules around this on this server are a little dated. THIS IS NOT A BAN APPEAL I was recently banned for 12 hours for 'Building In The Street' because I made, and used a 2x2x5 Sized Gunshop (Anyone that builds knows that this is relatively small, with measurements named after the plastic building props. Its about a persons height and 2 and a half peoples heights long) and placed it in the street, anyways there was lots of argument between me and a few mods before I was banned. EDIT: When I say placed in the street here, I was selling items out of it and using it. I think that the idea of the "Portable Gunshop" Is a great idea, not only does it benefit RP by making owning businesses more interesting, and showing off your builds more fun, it is a really simple rule change and shouldn't be that hard. When I say Portable Gunshop, I mean a small room placed on the street that guns are sold out of, through a small window. To add onto my point where it makes owning a business more interesting, If you are able to place down one of those annoying shitty kiosks that sell guns for you in the street, why cant you own a shop in the street? Not only do those Kiosks hurt RP by making the transaction instant and almost too reliable, it kills other gun stores almost entirely. I think portable gunshops are a fair alternative to the average gunshop so guns can be more accessible, like how they are accessible with the Kiosks, but still adds the RP component, because you have to market, advertise, hire security etc., manage inventory... the list goes on and on. To add to my point of showing off builds, most builds in the server are currently crouch bases, kidnap bases, or other alternatives, and lets be real these bases are getting stale and boring. With a portable gunshop being more of a "Roleplay" oriented build it just adds to the vastness of the city, when my portable gunshop was on the block, the city just looked better. To finish, allowing gun business owners to build a little on the street benefits everyone, by making more role play occur within the gun purchase experience, and allowing builders a platform to show off on. When I was banned multiple people were disappointed because the portable gunshop was becoming a center of the city, people loved it and it just was a cool place. Then an admin came on and just said "Remove it, not my rules." I refused to because I knew that the roleplay occurring because of the shop was more important than getting kicked. I would love to work with the admins on rules regarding how this should be worded in the rule book, and also where portable stores should be allowed. Best Regards, -Thomas Lappenborschindle
