  1. I was going to do a small extreme gambler bet.  It is not fair that because of an accident caused by a staff I have to be punished.

The staff didn't make you drop the money on the floor. You chose to go about this in an unsafe manner, and as such, you are paying the consequences. Sorry bud. Instead of complaining about it, make the money back like everyone else.

  2. I wanted to put it in my inventory it didn't matter what I did.  It had to be money!

They're saying if you used /cheque it would have been 1000% safer. Even in the event someone finds the cheque, they can't take it and take your money. Only the person the cheque is written to can take it.

  3. [suggestion]:

Instead of buying printers with ingame cash...

Can you make it, so you have to craft it...

Can you also do this with the printer parts.

That was a thing with the EvoCity update. Long story short, people absolutely hated it with a passion and it was another reason why people left right off the bat. (You had to craft everything from ammo to guns to printers to every entity in the game)

People play DarkRP to just chill and to get hit with a brick or drilldo a few times. They do not want to grind materials just to get raided or robbed within 10 minutes of making what ever they made. I think it would be fair to make another printer that is subjectively better than other printers for crafting but I wouldn't just make it so people couldn't spawn in printers. Having the option there is better than restricting other options

Making crafting more prevalent to progress beyond baseline money production/etc would be interesting. As it stands, the crafting system is collecting a bit of dust, so making it a larger part of optimal basing/money making would make things a little more interesting beyond just building a base and dropping your printers.

Additionally, perhaps the ability to spend in-game money (perhaps like 10mil) to increase your max printer count by one might be interesting? I don't know how that would effect performance, though.

  4. I think by editing it so you have to kill a certain number of cops before killing civilians would make it better. Considering most cops sit in the downtown section by PD, the terrorist would be forced to go down there and kill the cops. They would get lucky if a cop left that zone.

This sounds like a reasonable solution - needing to kill X amount of cops before being able to kill civs, X being scaled to the amount of players currently in the server (similar to cops needed for PD raid).

  5. They do it all the time. I thought it was going to be me who banned them because I had the same thing happen.

no, I mean the part where I'm giving the guys their sit - both of them were youtubers recording the exact same thing. that makes no sense to me, lol

  6. If anything, the alerts for the five minutes ending need to be greatly increased (if there even is any at the moment), to maybe a sound file playing or even a csay, rather than just stuff in the text box that can easily get drowned out by chatter. The Terrorist class causes a lot of unnecessary staff ticket traffic, especially when it's not known that there's a terrorist out and about - people just think it's another mass RDMer.

Perhaps its material could be changed to a bright solid material, similar to !revolt, after the five minutes have passed? That way, there'd be no mistaking them.

Additionally, people are clearly abusing the job and thinking they can get away with it, so it's clear there needs to be some change or stronger enforcement of the job's rulings.

  7. Add a gun bag for weapon modifiers. There have been so many times where I've nearly crashed the server accidentally because I'd been weapon modding for so long, and the mounds and mounds of common weapons were piling up way too high. If I could've put them in some sort of external storage, I would've been able to save on server lag and also actually be able to sell the commons; they usually end up wasted

In general, a sort of purchasable "treasure chest" (y'know, like a chest from Minecraft) that holds items like an extra inventory of the world would be nice. You could give it the ability to be locked, and thus would need a lockpick to break in (or a sledgehammer, but perhaps the sledgehammer destroys a few of the items in the process?)

  8. First of all: You can get money for taking sits for every 20 minutes? How much?

Second of all: Going to have to agree with shit-hair here, You're being a bit greedy, lad.

It's 1k per sit, so nothing too intense, just enough to cover mayor taxes and such.

  9. It would probably be best to keep things in a reasonable scope for a first draft of a custom map, not making it much bigger or more ambitious than the current version of downtown we use. Letting ideas run a bit too wild can lead to the creation of the map becoming chaotic, and likely land it in development heck.

My main suggestion would be one to remedy an issue we're currently facing - monopolization of map-based resources (mostly chem barrels, but we'll get to drug crops in a bit).

Personally, I think the monopolization of these resources, as arguably the best money-making methods on the server currently (in the case of barrels), is great for RP and creates an environment for competition/raiding beyond the ol' bases/printers situation. However, it's a bit too limited.

If possible, it would be best if the number of chem pipes/crop fields on the map scale to how populated the server is - rather than 3 chem pipes at 5 players or 70 players, perhaps 3 pipes at 1-15 players, 4 at 15-25, 5 at 25-35, etc. etc. (increments are purely speculative, nothing to 100% commit to). This goes the same for the drug fields. I'm not sure if this is possible (as I have no experience in map-making at all), but it'd allow for these money-making options to be utilized by more people, even if the jobs particular to those money making operations are all taken up. It'll allow for more accessibility, therefore a better experience overall.

Now, I've never done any drug growing or anything on the server, but perhaps if that had a similar system to the qualities of weapon modding, it may be seen as more worthwhile for players to partake in. Perhaps utilizing a crop quality system similar to Stardew Valley would work - normal crops, silver star crops, gold star crops, and purple star crops, each ranking selling for more than the previous. That way, it'd be a better way of making money and therefore more utilized by the player base. Rarely do you see more than one crop plot taken up at a time on the server - such a change in the profits of the product would surely affect this.

A bit unrelated, but the rulings on whether people are allowed to build on chem pipes as non-hobos should be strengthened as well - different staff members have had conflicting opinions on the matter, whether non-hobos should be able to block off pipes or not, and it'd be nice to get an official ruling. :)

  10. If the person selling the guns puts "LOL ADMIN GUN SUPA OP" then maybe, yeah, but when people put "Deagle, 1 shot, super op" and charge 40000 for it (Which actuially did happen) that where its just blatant lying.

They're the same thing. Either way, you were tricked into buying something that was not as it was advertised, and it was your fault for trusting "Legendairy AWP".

There isnt any way to prove a weapon is not "Super OP' if you new.

Then you buy it, you were tricked, and you learn to not get tricked again. Easy.

Okay then, im just gonna be a gun dealer, take peoples money, and not give them the guns they asked for, because apparently its okay.

If you get away with it and it fits in RP, yeah, it is, lol.

  13.

Your definition of fair is very, very, very skewed.

I dunno, man. It's apparently very, very skewed but not skewed enough that you can explain why it's skewed.

If you give a gun dealer money for a shipment and he gives you a single instead, you cant make him give you a shipment. This is nearly the same exact thing, false advertising.

Demand to see the product before giving him money. Simple solution.

So that the customer can steal it? You have a lot of holes in that solution. Just face that fact that scamming shouldnt be allowed and is not okay and move on.

Why do you think gun dealers set up complex shops? So the customer stealing the product isn't a possibility. Scamming should definitely be allowed. If you're dumb enough to fall for it, you get what you earn, thus you live and learn. Eventually you will be smart enough to not fall for scams. :)

  14. Being able to scam is ridiculously stupid, but it is in no way unfair. Literally every single person is allowed to do it equally.
