The Seeing Double description is as follows - "An extra Dragon Egg drops per day only for people with this talent. You must have this talent in order to see it." You aren't supposed to be able to see the egg if you don't have the talent so that's definitely a bug. Did you possibly prestige or reroll talents or something today after joining the server?
