aight well if you want a serious response I know an alright amount.

Tree's give wood, after the first time you hit a tree a red X would appear, if you continue hitting that X you can farm the tree 2x faster, after destroying the tree you get a large amount of wood.

Stone nodes are a very light gray and always look the same, after the first hit you will see a small twinkle showing up, just like the tree, if you continue hitting it you can farm it 2x faster. Just like the tree at the end you will get a large amount of the resource, but unlike the tree if you want to get that large extra amount of resource you would require a pick. Stone nodes look pretty similar to sulfur and metal nodes, other than color, but work pretty much the same way.

You can go towards a road or a monument to get components / scrap / other goodies, are you're pretty much required to start farming them if you want to get to mid-end game loot. There are crates and barrels, 2 types of crates (Normal / Military), 4 types of barrels(three having pretty similar loot, the other giving crude oil and low grade). Some monuments will give you radiation if you don't have cloths / armor that gives enough rad protection, so I recommend staying away from some monuments until you get some cloths, things like roads and a few actual monuments don't give radiation though, some monuments I know that don't give radiation are abandoned supermarket, mining outpost, outpost, and bandit camp. Though I am pretty sure there are a few others. The places like bandit camp and outpost are considered safe zones, within these safe zones you can't hold out weapons, if you run in while holding a weapon you have 5 seconds to un-equip it before they kill you, if you go inside the outpost or bandit camp after attacking something (walls / animals / players) you will be killed. A lot of monuments also have something called a recycler, this allows you to scrap down components to give scrap, metal frags, cloth, and other things.

In building a base you need a tc, which can be crafted for 1k wood, a building plan to create walls / foundations (hold right click to see the options), and a hammer to upgrade the wall. To make sure your building / house doesn't decay over time, you need to supply it with some materials, which it will consume over time, called the upkeep. NEVER keep walls or foundations twig when making a base, they can be destroyed within seconds using a spear or other tools, instead make it wood, and then later stone when you get the materials.

To get cloth you need to find hemp plants, the plant looks like cannabis so you should be able to see it, which would give 10 cloth, to set where you want to spawn you need a sleeping bag, though you can only spawn at the bag every 5 minutes.

There are plenty of other things in Rust but I don't think everything you learn should be from tutorials / normally asking people, it should instead be gotten by just playing the game, that way you can grow more onto the game.

Also I am not a veteran of Rust by any means, I just know a lot of the basics.
